CBS just made a major move—and Gayle King is NOT having it.

The network’s struggling morning show, CBS Mornings, is getting booted from its multimillion-dollar Times Square studio and sent back to its old, far-less-glamorous home at CBS Broadcast Center on West 57th Street. And sources say this was the final straw for its biggest star.

"Gayle is livid. She sees this as a personal attack," an insider spilled. “She only signed a one-year extension, and this was not part of the deal.”

Sources say the network blindsided King, who has demanded that her dressing room at the new (old) studio be completely upgraded to match the luxury she had in Times Square.

“She made it very clear—she’s not going to be shoved into some dingy little room,” the source continued. "She expects the same level of comfort and prestige she had at 1515 Broadway. No exceptions."

And if she doesn’t get it? She walks.

“This is the final insult,” another source dished. “Gayle is done putting up with this. She’s got Oprah in her corner, she has options, and she’s not afraid to use them.”

CBS News CEO Wendy McMahon is leading the cost-cutting charge as parent company Paramount Global scrambles to slash $500 million ahead of a possible merger with Skydance Media.

But sources say cutting corners on Gayle could be the network’s biggest mistake yet.
