EXCLUSIVE: WILLIAM "FURIOUS" AS HARRY DRAGS DIANA INTO SECURITY FEUD: "HE’S GONE TOO FAR THIS TIME"
Prince Harry’s scathing post-court statement reignites royal tensions
Prince Harry’s latest public broadside against the royal establishment has sparked fresh fury behind palace walls — and insiders say Prince William is “incandescent with rage” after his brother dragged their late mother, Princess Diana, into the controversy again.
Following a High Court ruling on Friday denying his appeal for automatic taxpayer-funded protection while in the UK, the Duke of Sussex released a blistering official statement, attacking RAVEC — the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures — for what he described as a failure to ensure the safety of his family.
In the sharply worded declaration, Harry claimed that “extremist threats” against him, Meghan, and their children had been ignored, accusing British institutions of “continuing to incite hatred” while protecting others in power.
But what really set off alarm bells at Kensington Palace was Harry invoking Diana — again — to bolster his case.
“This all comes from the same institutions that preyed upon my mother,” Harry wrote, calling the system “flawed, unfair, and dangerous.”
“William was blindsided and absolutely furious,” a high-level palace insider tells #ShuterScoop. “Dragging Diana into this fight — especially in an official statement — feels like emotional blackmail. He thinks it’s tasteless and cruel.”
A friend of William’s puts it even more bluntly: “He believes Harry is weaponizing their mother’s memory to score points in a legal and PR battle. It’s beneath him.”
The statement, which quickly made headlines across the globe, also pointed a thinly veiled finger at King Charles, suggesting that the monarch has the power to intervene but has chosen not to.
“I’ve only ever wanted to continue my charitable work... and for my children to know the beauty of my homeland,” Harry wrote, “but how can I do that without adequate protection?”
“He’s laying it at his father’s feet,” one royal watcher observed. “And Charles is not one to appreciate public pressure tactics.”
While Harry insists his fight is about principle and safety, critics — including some inside the Firm — see it differently.
“If you want reconciliation, you don’t release a statement calling out your family by name and comparing yourself to Diana,” says one former royal staffer. “It’s heartbreaking, but he keeps burning the bridges he claims he wants to cross.”
“The Queen always said, ‘Don’t complain, don’t explain,’” another source added. “Harry has done the exact opposite — again.”
With no resolution in sight, and with the brothers now reportedly not even speaking, one thing is certain: the wounds are still wide open — and Harry just ripped off the bandage.
