Timothée Chalamet’s recent comments about ballet and opera may have sparked backlash in Hollywood — but insiders say the fallout is now hitting much closer to home.
Sources tell Naughty But Nice the controversy surrounding the actor’s remarks has created noticeable tension in his relationship with Kylie Jenner.
“The relationship is definitely feeling the strain,” one insider tells Naughty But Nice. “Timothée is under a lot of pressure right now and it’s spilling into his personal life.”

During a televised town hall appearance, Chalamet made remarks that many in the arts community interpreted as dismissive of traditional performing arts — triggering criticism across Hollywood and among cultural figures.
“A lot of people in the industry were shocked,” the source says. “Ballet and opera are deeply respected in that world.”
But insiders say the situation became more complicated as Chalamet struggled to handle the criticism.
“The Kardashian-Jenner family is used to backlash and public drama,” the insider explains. “They’ve dealt with it their entire careers. Timothée hasn’t.”
According to sources, Jenner has tried to stay supportive — even as she feels unfairly pulled into the controversy.
“Kylie knows how the media storm works,” the source says. “But Timothée is taking it very personally.”
Now, those close to the couple say the stress is taking a toll.
“They’re trying to work through it,” the insider adds. “But right now, things are definitely tense.”
