Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have watched enough celebrity marriages fall apart to know one hard truth: living in separate cities can put even the strongest relationships to the test.
That’s why, insiders tell Naughty But Nice, Swift plans to spend as much time as possible in Missouri as Kelce begins preparations for the upcoming NFL season. Chiefs rookies report to training camp on July 24, while veterans—including Kelce—arrive on July 28 at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.
“They’ve seen too many Hollywood couples drift apart because work kept them in different places,” one friend tells Naughty But Nice. “Taylor has no intention of letting that happen to them. If Travis has to be in Missouri, she’ll be there too.”
Friends say the newlyweds have made a simple promise to each other: they won’t become one of those celebrity couples living separate lives.
“They are not going to live in different cities,” the source says. “If Travis needs to be somewhere for football, Taylor will make that home too.”
Unlike most couples, they have the flexibility to make it work. Private travel, multiple homes, and Swift’s ability to write and record from virtually anywhere mean she doesn’t have to choose between her career and her living with her husband.

“Their philosophy is simple,” the insider adds. “Wherever Travis is, that’s where Taylor wants to be.”
