Hello, hello, hello...
Taylor Swift is quietly in talks to headline the first billion-dollar concert residency in history—and the battle is down to Madison Square Garden in New York or the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Sources tell Naughty But Nice that while fans have focused on Swift’s wedding festivities, the real blockbuster is happening behind the scenes, where entertainment executives are pursuing a deal that could rewrite the live music business.
“Everyone assumes the conversations are about the wedding,” one insider tells Naughty But Nice. “They’re not. The wedding may have opened the door, but the real prize is a Taylor Swift residency. That’s the billion-dollar opportunity everyone wants.”
Madison Square Garden is believed to be the frontrunner, although the Sphere remains a serious contender. Either venue would instantly become the hottest ticket on the planet.
The financial potential is staggering. Billy Joel’s legendary Madison Square Garden residency grossed an estimated $266.7 million over 104 sold-out performances. Celine Dion’s two landmark Las Vegas residencies earned a combined $681.3 million. Industry insiders believe Swift could eclipse both—and become the first artist to headline a billion-dollar residency.
“Taylor isn’t competing with Billy Joel or Celine Dion,” an entertainment executive tells Naughty But Nice. “She’s competing with herself. If anyone can create the first billion-dollar residency, it’s Taylor.”
Following the unprecedented success of the Eras Tour, executives see a residency as the natural next chapter. Instead of transporting a stadium-sized production around the globe, Swift would bring the world to one destination.
“Fans would fly in from every continent,” another source says. “Hotels, restaurants, Broadway, airlines—everyone wins. It becomes more than a concert. It becomes an economic engine.”

The choice now comes down to legacy versus innovation.
Madison Square Garden offers unmatched prestige and the chance to cement another chapter in New York music history. The Sphere offers revolutionary technology capable of delivering an immersive concert experience unlike anything audiences have ever seen.
“MSG has the legacy. The Sphere has the spectacle,” an insider tells Naughty But Nice. “Taylor is one of the few artists who could make either venue the center of the entertainment universe.”
No agreement has been finalized, and Swift’s camp remains silent. But insiders believe the outcome is inevitable.

And remember… if you’re going to be naughty, you’ve got to be nice. 💋

She needs good security and the best technology to enhance the experience. Both venues could pull it off but Las Vegas is still struggling because of the losses during the pandemic so I would choose Las Vegas. But the hotels, restaurants, etc. there need to address the miscellaneous charges such as resort fees, service fees, outrageous parking fees and the pressure for guests to leave insanely high tips. Most people carefully budget for vacations and need to know these costs in advance and international visitors really don't like the tipping culture which is understandable.
