EXCLUSIVE: TAYLOR SWIFT FRIENDS SUSPECT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN WEDDING REPORTS ARE A DECOY
Hello, hello, hello…
Friends close to Taylor Swift are questioning reports that she and Travis Kelce plan to marry at Madison Square Garden—not simply because guests still haven’t been told where the wedding will take place, but because the entire idea feels completely out of character.
“This doesn’t sound like Taylor,” one insider told me. “It sounds like something the Kardashians would do.”
What’s raising eyebrows is the notion of turning the ceremony itself into a blockbuster public event.
“Taylor has always used her personal life in her work,” a source explained. “The songs, the Easter eggs, the social media posts—that’s part of her brand. But that’s very different from getting married at one of the most famous venues in the world.”
Another friend was even more blunt.
“A wedding at Madison Square Garden feels like a production,” the source said. “Not a wedding.”
The reports have sparked plenty of questions among those closest to the couple.
“Are they selling tickets?” one insider joked. “Is there a Ticketmaster partnership? A livestream? That’s why people aren’t buying it.”
Several friends believe the Madison Square Garden story may actually be serving another purpose.
“Most people I know think it’s a decoy,” said one source. “The theory is guests will be told to meet at MSG, then they’re put on buses and taken somewhere else.”
My novel, It Started With A Whisper, is available now
Another insider agreed.
“Something is definitely being hidden,” the source said.
For now, friends aren’t dismissing the reports outright. They’re simply struggling to believe that Taylor—who has always carefully managed the line between public and private—would suddenly embrace a wedding strategy that feels so uncharacteristically Kardashian.

And remember, if you’re going to be naughty, you’ve got to be nice. 💋

I thought the choice of Madison Square Gardens was extremely odd. I do not know Taylor Swift but it did not seem like a choice she would make. The decoy idea is interesting and I would think this might be what is going on. Who wants a wedding at MSG...would there be hot dogs and pretzels. Not romantic in the least.
