Hello, hello, hello...
The shock of losing The Late Show is finally catching up with Stephen Colbert.
Sources tell Naughty But Nice the veteran host has largely retreated from public view as the reality of the cancellation sinks in. Friends say Colbert is heartbroken, frustrated, and struggling to imagine life after spending years at the center of late-night television.
“This wasn’t just a job—it was his identity,” one insider tells #ShuterScoop. “Stephen poured everything into that show. Losing it has hit him hard.”
The emotional toll was hard to miss when Colbert attended Taylor Swift’s wedding over the weekend, where guests spotted the usually upbeat comedian looking unusually subdued and miserable.
Insiders say he’s kept an exceptionally low profile since production wrapped, with even longtime colleagues surprised by how little they’ve heard from him.
“He’s always been the one holding everyone else together,” another source says. “Now he’s the one who needs time. He’s stepped away to figure out what comes next.”

Those close to Colbert insist the silence doesn’t mean he’s giving up. Instead, he’s throwing himself into writing, including work on a new The Lord of the Rings film, which has become a much-needed creative escape.
“Writing is saving him right now,” an insider reveals. “It’s giving him somewhere to channel everything he’s feeling.”
Television may not be finished with him, either. Sources say Colbert is quietly developing ideas for a new on-camera project and hopes to reunite much of his current production team.
“This isn’t retirement,” says one source. “It’s recovery. Once he’s ready, he’ll be back.”
Cheers,

And remember… if you’re going to be naughty, you’ve got to be nice. 💋

Colbert is an irrelevant little man.
He is supposed to write a sequel screenplay to the Lord of the Rings trilogy so he can do that.
He has changed so much from when Jon Stewart originally led the Daily Show and not in a good way.
