In a dramatic showdown inside a high-rise Manhattan law office, Justin Baldoni stunned even his own legal team by demanding to sit face-to-face with Blake Lively during her sworn deposition — and sources say the tension was off the charts.
“He wasn’t legally required to be there,” a source tells #ShuterScoop. “But Justin insisted. He said, ‘If she’s going to accuse me, she’s going to have to say it to my face.’”
Lively’s deposition, which took place Thursday morning at her attorney’s Midtown office, lasted several hours and included a full team of lawyers, a court reporter, and a videographer. But all eyes were on the former co-stars, whose off-screen dynamic has turned toxic.
“Blake didn’t flinch,” says a source.
Lively has accused Baldoni of inappropriate on-set behavior, including unscripted physical contact and sexually suggestive remarks. Baldoni has denied all claims and filed a defamation suit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds — a case that was tossed last month.
With his lawsuit dismissed, Baldoni is now fighting for his reputation in a new arena: the court of public opinion.
