EXCLUSIVE: RYAN REYNOLDS SNUBS JAKE GYLLENHAAL’S BROADWAY DEBUT
“THE FRIENDSHIP IS OFFICIALLY DEAD”
Hollywood’s favorite bromance is no more.
Sources tell Naughty Gossip that Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal, once inseparable A-list besties, have had a massive falling out — and the final nail in the friendship coffin may have just been hammered shut.
Ryan was nowhere to be seen at Jake’s Broadway opening night for Othello, despite an all-star guest list that included Jennifer Lopez and even former President Joe Biden.
“Everyone showed up. Everyone… except Ryan,” one insider said. “It was impossible not to notice.”
The pair, who became fast friends during the filming of Life in 2017, were once constant fixtures in each other’s lives — trading jabs in interviews, vacationing together, and even fueling fan campaigns for them to co-star in a buddy comedy.
But now?
“They haven’t spoken in over six months,” the source confirmed. “Something happened — something big. The friendship is officially dead.”
No one close to the actors will confirm exactly what caused the rift, but insiders hint it involved a personal betrayal and a project gone sour.
“They were like brothers,” said a mutual friend. “And now it’s like Ryan doesn’t even acknowledge Jake exists. People were shocked he didn’t show.”
Reynolds, who has been busy with his legal problems and Deadpool promo, hasn’t publicly commented. But fans were quick to notice the snub.
“No Ryan at Jake’s big night? Something’s up,” one user posted. “The bromance is officially over 😢.”
As for Jake? He took his bow with poise and power. But some guests noted he looked “a little deflated” backstage.
“He put his heart into this,” said a Broadway insider. “And not having Ryan there? It stung.”
