Hello, hello, hello…
Prince Harry wants Princess Diana’s closest friends and family to help tell his mother’s story — but sources tell Naughty But Nice the royal establishment is making participation radioactive.
Harry has begun approaching people who knew his mummy about contributing to a streaming project ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death next year. But insiders say some of the most important voices are staying away — including Diana’s two sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes, who sources say have declined to participate.
“Diana’s own sisters saying no sends an enormous message,” a palace insider tells Naughty But Nice. “Nobody has to threaten anyone. People understand the consequences: help Harry tell his version of Diana’s story and the palace door could slam shut.”
For Diana’s old friends, the dilemma is brutal. Many remain fond of Harry, but they also have relationships with William, the King and the wider royal establishment stretching back decades.
My new novel, Queen Elizabeth III, is available for pre-order right now
“Nobody wants to choose between Diana’s sons,” a royal source says. “But appearing in Harry’s film will be viewed as choosing a side — and people are terrified of what that could cost them.”
William is particularly sensitive about his brother claiming ownership of their mother’s legacy.
“William’s position is simple: Diana was his mother too,” the insider says. “Harry doesn’t own her story, and William isn’t going to quietly watch everyone else define it for him.”
Harry may be back in Britain, but when it comes to Diana, old loyalties run deep — and some doors remain firmly closed.

Just on quality and professionalism of a project....that alone is enough to say "no" to a Harry and Meghan project. There is no way Meghan would not be involved in this project. Anything associated with them including "The Swan Song" turns into a circus.
