Prince Harry’s latest efforts to repair relations with King Charles may have less to do with family reconciliation than with a looming financial headache.
After losing his security case, Harry blasted the High Court’s ruling as a “whitewash.” In just two weeks, that same court is expected to decide who will pay an estimated $67 million in legal costs. According to palace insiders, the reaction behind closed doors wasn’t anger—it was concern.
“The issue wasn’t that Harry criticized the ruling,” a palace source tells Naughty But Nice. “It was that he appeared to question the integrity of the judicial system itself. Judges don’t usually respond well to that.”
Legal experts note that courts have broad discretion when awarding costs, and a litigant’s conduct throughout the case can influence the final bill. If the judge concludes Harry acted unreasonably or unnecessarily prolonged the fight, the price could be staggering.
Which raises the obvious question: Who picks up the tab?
“It’s amazing how family suddenly becomes important when the bills arrive,” another palace insider tells Naughty But Nice. “Harry knows his father is one of the few people on earth who could write a check that size without blinking. Whether he actually will is another story.”

King Charles has made clear that Harry and Meghan are expected to stand on their own financially. If Harry is hoping that reconciliation also brings a royal bailout, he may be in for another painful disappointment.
“Harry may be asking for forgiveness,” the insider adds. “But what he really needs is someone to pay the bill.”

Rob, I find it difficult to believe that KC3is going to pay H’s legal fees. Maybe if H kept quiet after the verdict but after insulting Justice Nicklin by saying it’s a whitewash, he’s on his own. Even Sir Elton John isn’t going to pay for his share. What’s H to do now? I guess he can write another book.
Clean up aisle 2. Harry makes a mess of his business....adds people to join him. Doubles down on his mess. Acts out in anger at the orders from the health department to clean up his mess. So....someone....who will help me or pay for me? What charity will pay? Wow, I could have used that Emmy Nomination money for attorney fees ...Meghan is not going to win anyway. King Charles......Harry is on the phone....tell Harry to call Mr. Markle.
