Hello, hello, hello...
Nicki Minaj’s recent White House visit may have produced more than photo ops. Naughty But Nice has learned she’s been in talks with Lara Trump about recording a duet.
According to multiple music insiders, the conversations have been going on for weeks, although nothing has been signed.
“Lara is definitely driving this,” one well-placed music source tells Naughty But Nice. “She made the first move, they’ve been talking, and Nicki hasn’t shut the door. This is much more than a passing idea.”
Lara has spent the past few years trying to launch an unlikely music career, releasing country, pop, and dance tracks while teaming up with artists including French Montana and Mohamed Ramadan. Nicki, meanwhile, has become one of President Donald Trump’s most outspoken celebrity supporters, making the pairing seem a little less far-fetched than it might have a few year ago.
“They’ve talked about doing a duet,” another insider says. “Ideas have been exchanged, and everyone involved knows it would create an enormous amount of buzz. Whether people stream it because they love it or because they can’t believe it exists is beside the point.”
Nothing has been officially announced, and there is still no recording date. But sources insist the talks are genuine.

“If the schedules work, don’t be surprised if this actually happens,” a third insider tells Naughty But Nice. “It’ll be one of those songs everyone has an opinion about before they’ve even heard the chorus.”
Love it or hate it, a Nicki Minaj-Lara Trump duet would be impossible to ignore. In today’s music business, getting everyone talking is often the biggest hit of all.
