EXCLUSIVE: NICK REINER THINKS HE’LL BE HOME FOR LATE DAD’S BIRTHDAY — MARCH 6
SOURCES DESCRIBE A RAPID MENTAL SPIRAL AS LEGAL TEAM PREPARES INSANITY DEFENSE
Nick Reiner, accused of killing his parents Rob and Michele Reiner, is reportedly living in a bubble of delusion behind bars. “He really thinks he’ll be out in time for his dad’s birthday,” a close source tells me. “He doesn’t seem to comprehend why he’s locked up at all.”
Those who know him say he’s disconnected from reality. “It’s like talking to someone who exists in a completely separate world.”
The mental health news is deeply concerning. “His schizoaffective disorder meds were changed about a month before the murders,” a source reveals. “It threw him into a fast downward spiral. He became unpredictable, erratic, and even scary to the people who cared about him most.”
Another source adds, “He’s still struggling with his treatment. Nothing seems to stabilize him, and reaching him is nearly impossible.”
Nick’s defense team is preparing a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. “Even if there was planning involved, a jury could find him legally insane,” an insider notes.
For now, he remains in custody, convinced he’ll be free soon. “He’s living in his own world,” one source sighs. “Completely cut off from reality. Watching it unfold is terrifying.”

I don't believe it - he's faked mental illness before and admitted to doing it.
