EXCLUSIVE: NICK REINER SOUGHT GUN BEFORE PARENTS’ MURDERS
CHILLING SEQUENCE OF EVENTS REVEALED BEFORE BRUTAL KILLINGS
Nick Reiner, 32, is at the center of a shocking Los Angeles murder case after allegedly killing his parents, Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, inside their Brentwood home on December 14. Sources close to the investigation tell me Reiner expressed a desire to obtain a firearm shortly before the killings, though authorities have not confirmed whether any steps were taken or if a weapon was acquired.
The revelation adds a chilling new layer to an already disturbing case. Insiders describe the period leading up to the deaths as fast-moving and deeply unsettling. “Everything escalated incredibly quickly,” one source said. “He wasn’t panicked — he was focused, and that’s what makes it so disturbing.”
Reiner, who has a documented history of mental health struggles and recent medication changes, was taken into custody later the same day. Surveillance footage places him at a local gas station just hours before his parents’ bodies were discovered.
Authorities have confirmed a knife was used in the killings, but sources say Reiner’s interest in a firearm has raised additional questions. “The concern isn’t what he had — it’s what he was thinking about in those final days,” a source noted.
Reiner now faces two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances. Friends and neighbors describe the aftermath as overwhelming. “It’s stunning. It still doesn’t feel real,” one insider said. “Nobody imagined this could happen.”
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to reconstruct the critical hours and decisions leading up to the tragedy.

If you’re going to be naughty, you’ve got to be nice.

This is what schizophrenia does, a person's mind begins to demand demand DEMAND actions - usually telling themselves that they need to kill that person. A tale as old as time sadly.
If his intent to purchase a firearm is confirmed, that points to Nick's intentionality, i.e., premeditation. There goes the insanity defense.
