EXCLUSIVE: LEA MICHELE TRASHES HER GLEE CAST AGAIN — "SHE WAS A NIGHTMARE AND STILL IS!"
Lea Michele is once again blaming everyone but herself.
In a new interview, the Funny Girl star, 38, reopened old wounds when asked about the aftermath of Cory Monteith’s tragic death in 2013. Instead of uniting with her Glee family, Lea confessed, “No,” they did not band together.
“For me, it was so hard. I just completely broke,” she said, adding, “I was really in a one-track mind of just doing my job.”
But insiders say that’s exactly the problem. “Lea has always thought of herself as the victim,” a source close to the show tells #ShuterScoop. “She doesn’t realize she’s trashing people who were also grieving — and who were terrorized by her behavior on set.”
Rather than take responsibility for her well-documented on-set conduct — which former co-stars described as “toxic,” “unpleasant,” and “a living hell” — Lea once again centered herself.
“She blames the cast for the distance,” a production insider says. “But no one wanted to be around her. She made life miserable for anyone who wasn’t kissing her ass.”
Back in 2020, Glee actress Samantha Ware alleged Michele made her life on set a “living hell,” a statement that was swiftly backed by other co-stars like Heather Morris, Gerard Canonico, and Amber Riley, who said Black cast members were “terrorized by the white girls that are the leads of the show.”
In the new interview, Michele says the pressure to keep the show going left her no choice but to power through. “If we didn’t show up for work, then people wouldn’t have work to go to,” she said. “That was a lot of pressure for me.”
But that excuse isn’t landing with the people who were there. “She’s still trying to rewrite the past,” says one ex-crew member. “No one denies she was under pressure. But that doesn’t give her a pass for treating people like crap.”
Over a decade after Monteith’s passing, Michele’s latest comments are being seen by many as tone-deaf and self-serving.
“She may think this is healing,” the source adds, “but all it does is remind people why no one wants to work with her again.”
#ShuterScoop — because even Glee couldn’t script this level of backstage drama.
