Move over, Halle Berry. Slide aside, Teri Hatcher. Because the next Bond girl might not be coming from Her Majesty’s Secret Service… but from Jeff Bezos’s superyacht.
Lauren Sánchez — helicopter pilot, former news anchor, and reigning queen of Amazon’s high-flying inner circle — is being quietly considered for a role in the next James Bond installment. And yes, it’s all thanks to her real-life Bond villain/billionaire beau, Jeff Bezos.
“I wouldn’t put it past Jeff to hire Lauren,” a well-placed Hollywood insider tells Straight Shuter. “He’s obsessed. He wants to make her a star — and let’s be honest, he’s got the money and the movie studio to do it.”
You read that right. Bezos, who casually scooped up MGM (and the Bond franchise) for a cool $8.45 billion like it was a Prime Day splurge, now controls 007’s destiny. And insiders say he’s not exactly married to tradition.
“Bond fans are still mourning the last film,” one studio source sighs. “Now they’re bracing for the Bezos era. Anything goes .”
And in struts Sánchez.
“She’s got the charisma, the curves, and most importantly — the billionaire,” the insider adds. “This isn’t about what fans want. It’s about what Jeff wants. And right now? Jeff wants Lauren.”
