Hello, hello, hello…
Lauren Sánchez is stepping into the role of peacemaker — but not everyone is interested in a truce.
Sources tell Naughty But Nice that Sánchez has been quietly working behind the scenes to ease long-simmering tension between Melania Trump and Anna Wintour — a rift that spans both fashion and political circles.
The timing is no coincidence.
With Jeff Bezos backing the Met Gala, and Lauren recently spending time with Wintour during Paris Fashion Week, insiders say she sees a rare opening to bring two power centers back into alignment.
“Lauren is connecting very powerful dots,” one insider tells us. “She moves comfortably in both worlds — and she knows exactly who needs to be in the same room.”
And yes — Bezos’ presence at Donald Trump inauguration only adds another layer of intrigue.
“This is about access,” the source says. “It’s about staying welcome in every room that matters.”
But here’s the reality check:
My forthcoming novel, It Started With A Whisper, is now available for pre-order
Melania isn’t playing along.
“She’s not interested in Vogue — or that entire orbit,” the insider says bluntly. “That world just doesn’t carry the same weight for her anymore.”
In fact, sources say the former First Lady has fundamentally shifted her priorities.
“She’s not chasing approval from fashion insiders,” another source adds. “She’s walked away from that game completely.”
So while Lauren may be attempting to broker a détente…
“Melania doesn’t feel the need to make peace,” the insider says. “From her perspective, there’s nothing to fix.”
The bottom line?
“Lauren can try,” the source concludes. “But Melania has already moved on — and she’s not looking back.”
