KIM KARDASHIAN BRACES FOR KANYE’S BACKLASH AFTER DIVORCE CONFESSIONS — “SHE KNOWS A STORM IS COMING”
Kim Kardashian may have opened up about her “toxic” marriage to Kanye West on Call Her Daddy, but insiders say she’s now on high alert — fully expecting her ex to explode online.
In the emotional interview, Kim said she never felt “emotionally or financially safe” during the marriage, citing Kanye’s erratic behavior and spending. “She knew those words would sting,” says one close friend. “But she’s done censoring herself. She’s finally telling her truth.”
Behind the scenes, her team has been warned to brace for what one insider calls “a social media hurricane.” “Kim knows Kanye,” the source adds. “He doesn’t let things slide — he’ll post, rant, maybe even drop a diss track. She’s preparing for impact.”
Kanye, who has been open about his bipolar diagnosis and self-described autism, has a long track record of fiery responses — often targeting Kim, her family, or her partners. Still, Kim’s determined not to bite back. “She’s evolved,” the insider says. “If he lashes out, she’ll rise above it. She’s not playing his game anymore.”
As one source puts it: “Kim’s done living in fear of his reaction. If he wants chaos, he can have it — alone.”
EXCLUSIVE: MEGHAN MARKLE & PRINCE HARRY OBSESSED WITH OBAMAS
Royal insiders reveal Meghan Markle’s admiration for Barack and Michelle Obama borders on obsession — so much so that she wanted them front row at her 2018 royal wedding. But Buckingham Palace said no.
“Meghan was desperate to have the Obamas there,” says a palace aide. “She saw them as everything she and Harry aspired to be — powerful, modern, beloved.” But the Queen’s advisors feared a diplomatic uproar if the Obamas were invited and Donald Trump was not. “It would’ve caused an international incident,” adds the source.
Ultimately, the Obamas gracefully bowed out, sending warm wishes instead. Yet the connection only deepened. Meghan later met Michelle Obama in London and interviewed her for Vogue’s 2019 issue.
Just this week, at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, Meghan compared her and Harry’s Netflix deal to the Obamas’ Higher Ground partnership, saying, “It’s not dissimilar.”
“Meghan doesn’t just admire the Obamas,” says one Hollywood insider. “She wants to be them — the global power couple who walked away from politics but kept their influence.”
EXCLUSIVE: AMY ROBACH & T.J. HOLMES PITCHING TV WEDDING SPECIAL — BUT NETWORKS AREN’T BUYING IT
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes may have lost their morning show, but they’re still chasing primetime — with a televised wedding pitch that’s currently getting the cold shoulder.
The newly engaged pair are shopping a “redemption love story” docuseries to streaming platforms, offering an inside look at their engagement, blended families, and “new beginning.” “They’re hoping to sell a comeback story,” says one TV executive. “But so far, no one’s biting.”
The proposed special — tentatively titled Amy and T.J.: Our True Story — aims to rebrand the couple as resilient romantics who survived scandal. But industry insiders say the pitch feels premature. “Audiences love a second act,” says a network source. “But they haven’t forgiven them yet.”
After their affair led to their 2022 firing from GMA3, the couple reinvented themselves through their podcast. Now, they’re reportedly considering self-funding the wedding special if no network steps up.
“They lost their morning slot,” says one insider. “Now they want to prove they can still headline their own love story — even if they have to produce it themselves.”
NBC IN PANIC MODE AS ‘SNL’ RATINGS TANK — INSIDERS SAY “TIME TO REPLACE LORNE MICHAELS”
NBC executives are in full-blown panic after Saturday Night Live’s Season 51 ratings crash — and insiders say the unthinkable is being discussed: replacing Lorne Michaels.
Sources at 30 Rock say the network is alarmed by the show’s creative slump and declining viewership. “The season premiere bombed, and the follow-up was even worse,” says one insider. “You can’t book Amy Poehler and Bad Bunny and still lose viewers. That’s a crisis.”
Ratings have dipped below 4.4 million — the lowest in years — and younger writers are reportedly frustrated by what they call Lorne’s “1970s formula.” “The jokes are dated, the pacing is slow, and the sketches feel recycled,” one staffer says. “Audiences live on TikTok now. SNL’s still writing for cable.”
While Michaels, 80, has said he’ll stay after the 50th anniversary, many at NBC believe that milestone should have marked his exit. “The show needs fresh leadership,” says one longtime producer. “It’s not enough to rely on celebrity cameos anymore — SNL has to feel dangerous again.”
As one executive bluntly put it: “Lorne made SNL iconic — but he might also be the reason it’s dying.”
