EXCLUSIVE: JUSTIN BIEBER SECRETLY LOVES ALL THE ATTENTION — "HE'S ADDICTED TO FAME," SAY SOURCES
Justin Bieber claims he’s tired of the spotlight — but insiders tell #ShuterScoop he secretly can’t live without it.
Despite ranting about paparazzi and publicly vowing he won’t be “bullied” out of Los Angeles, sources say the 31-year-old pop star is privately thriving on the chaos surrounding him.
“Justin could disappear tomorrow if he wanted to,” one well-placed insider dishes. “He has more than enough money. He could vanish like Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, or Beyoncé when they want privacy. But he doesn’t. He craves the press — until he doesn’t.”
Bieber’s conflicted relationship with fame has been obvious in recent weeks, as he slammed photographers for “harassing” him but also posted videos of them online — further fueling the frenzy.
“He says he hates it, but the truth is, the flashbulbs give him a rush,” another industry source explains. “Justin’s addicted to the attention. He’s been famous since he was a kid — it's wired into him now.”
On Instagram Friday, Bieber told fans he refuses to abandon Los Angeles, insisting, “How can we make a change if we run away from the darkness?”
But insiders aren’t buying the noble spin.
“He’s not staying in LA for activism. He’s staying because LA is the epicenter of celebrity — and he still wants to be in the mix,” the source adds.
With the scrutiny around his health, marriage, and new life as a dad to son Jack only growing louder, insiders warn this fame addiction could trigger another public spiral.
“Justin wants to be seen. He needs to be seen,” the first insider says. “But if he’s not careful, it’s going to eat him alive.”
