Justin Baldoni may have put one legal battle behind him, but insiders tell Naughty But Nice his biggest problem is only beginning: paying the staggering price.
With Blake Lively seeking an estimated $8 million in legal fees, multiple sources say Baldoni simply doesn’t have the money.
“People assume Justin is sitting on a Hollywood fortune because he’s famous,” one insider tells Naughty But Nice. “The truth is, he isn’t. He doesn’t have anything close to the cash needed to cover a bill like this.”
Sources say nearly two years of relentless litigation have drained Baldoni’s finances.
“Before this nightmare, his estimated net worth was around $4 million,” says another insider. “The legal fees have eaten through a huge portion of that. Financially, this has been catastrophic.”
The damage, insiders add, extends far beyond his bank account. Baldoni has struggled to secure new projects, parted ways with his longtime agent, and watched Hollywood distance itself from the controversy.
“The phone stopped ringing,” a source says. “Whether it’s deserved or not, this case made him toxic in the eyes of a lot of studios. People don’t want the baggage.”

His financial troubles deepened again this week when Wayfarer Studios, the company he co-founded, was ordered to pay The New York Times $171,616.20 after losing its defamation lawsuit over the newspaper’s reporting on Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us allegations. The ruling marks another expensive setback in a legal saga that insiders say has already cost Baldoni millions.
“This isn’t just a legal loss—it’s becoming a financial collapse,” one insider says. “Justin is fighting to protect what’s left, but every new ruling makes that harder.”
