Prince Harry’s nightmare week has gone from bad to worse, with insiders warning the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be facing their most serious financial challenge yet.
Just hours after learning he would not be staying at Buckingham Palace during his visit to Britain, Harry suffered another crushing defeat when he lost his final major legal battle against the publisher of the Daily Mail.
Justice Matthew Nicklin dismissed Harry’s claims against Associated Newspapers, bringing the Duke’s last remaining lawsuit against a British newspaper publisher to an end. The ruling is not only a personal setback—it could come with an eye-watering price tag.
“This is the verdict that could change everything,” a source tells Naughty But Nice. “Harry has spent years—and millions—trying to take on the British press. Instead of vindication, he may now be left with a staggering legal bill.”
Legal experts estimate the case could ultimately cost as much as $60 million once legal fees and trial expenses are calculated. Under U.K. rules, Harry could also be ordered to pay a significant portion of Associated Newspapers’ costs, potentially adding millions more.
The timing couldn’t be worse. The Sussexes already face enormous expenses, including an estimated $5 million a year for private security, the upkeep of their Montecito estate, staff salaries, travel, and the costs of maintaining their global brand.

One of your colleagues is claiming Harry committed perjury by failing to reveal the extent of his relationship with journalist Charlotte Griffiths when he testified. He thinks Harry should be stripped of his titles and removed from the LOS.
