Darlings, Christmas will bring a phone call — just not a reunion.

Sources tell me Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to call King Charles on Christmas Day, keeping a line of communication open with the monarch even as they once again skip the traditional royal family gathering in the U.K.

“They won’t be there in person, but they will be in touch,” a royal insider said. “It’s important to Harry that his father hears from him on Christmas.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend the holiday at home in Montecito, celebrating with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, alongside Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, before jetting off for a luxury New Year’s getaway with friends.

But while the King will receive a call, Meghan’s own father will not.

Multiple sources confirm the duchess has no plans to phone or visit Thomas Markle, who is recovering in the Philippines following emergency surgery.

“She won’t even call him,” one source said bluntly. “She knows where he is. She has the information. She’s chosen not to engage directly.”

Another insider added, “Meghan talks publicly about the holidays being about family — but for her, that definition is very selective.”

The contrast hasn’t gone unnoticed. While reconciliation with the royal family appears cautiously open, the door to Meghan’s relationship with her father remains firmly shut.

Christmas, darlings, reveals everything — especially who gets the call… and who doesn’t.
