EXCLUSIVE: HARRY AND MEGHAN INVITED BY ANTI-ROYAL GROUPS ON AUSTRALIA TOUR
SOURCES SAY THE SUSSEXES’ “ROYAL-STYLE” TOUR COULD SPARK POLITICAL CONTROVERSY
Hello, hello, hello…
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming Australia trip just got a lot more complicated — insiders say anti-royalist groups are now circling.
According to leaked planning documents, the Sussexes are set to visit Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra. But behind the polished itinerary, sources reveal they’ve also been “invited to events by a number of anti-royalist groups” across the country.
“There is real interest from anti-monarchy and republican organizations,” one insider tells Naughty But Nice. “That changes the tone of the entire trip.”
Australia’s republican movement has been simmering for years — with some groups actively campaigning to remove the British monarch as head of state.
Others go even further.
“For some, especially Indigenous activists, the monarchy is seen as a symbol of colonization,” the source explains. “Any engagement there becomes politically charged.”
My forthcoming novel, It Started With A Whisper, is now available for pre-order
Which puts Harry and Meghan in a uniquely delicate position.
“They’re no longer working royals,” the insider adds. “But they’re still very much tied to the institution.”
And that tension could easily spill into public view.
“If they engage with these groups — even informally — it sends a message,” the source says. “Whether they intend it or not.”
If they don’t engage? That comes with its own risks.
“If Harry and Meghan refuse to meet, some of these groups are prepared to protest — they want to provoke a response,” the insider reveals.
The palace, sources say, is watching every move.
“This is exactly the kind of situation the royal family tries to avoid,” one insider notes. “It blurs the line between personal freedom and institutional impact.”
Publicly, however, the Sussexes are keeping the focus elsewhere — veterans, mental health, and community work.
Translation?
“This isn’t just a visit,” the insider says. “It’s a potential flashpoint.”

They are one big sh*@t show wherever they go. It just never stops. They are so unprofessional and thick as a brick. So obvious to everyone how this should be handled....but we will see what they choose to do or not do.
I don’t think they will even acknowledge invite.
