Kristi Noem’s political downfall may have cost her more than just her job.

Sources tell Naughty But Nice that Corey Lewandowski — widely rumored to be her longtime lover — has now walked away from the relationship following the dramatic collapse of their influence at the Department of Homeland Security.

“The relationship was always about power,” one Washington insider tells Naughty But Nice. “Without the job and the access, Corey isn’t interested anymore.”

Lewandowski had become one of the most powerful figures inside DHS, tightly controlling operations and wielding enormous influence behind the scenes.

But according to sources, that power dynamic was central to his connection with Noem.

“Corey loves proximity to power,” the insider explains. “When Kristi had it, he was glued to her. Now that she doesn’t, he’s gone.”

The fallout comes amid growing controversy surrounding their time at DHS, including reports that Lewandowski bragged privately about operating with total freedom.

“He told people he could do whatever he wanted because Trump would pardon him,” one source claims.

Now, as both figures exit the department under a cloud, insiders say the relationship appears to have collapsed as quickly as their political fortunes.

“This was never a romance story,” the source adds. “It was a power story.”
