EXCLUSIVE: BLAKE LIVELY FEUDING WITH JOANNA GAINES OVER “SECURITY FIASCO” AT TEXAS HOTEL
Blake Lively may be used to playing polished on screen — but behind the scenes, insiders say she's unraveling.
The Gossip Girl star is facing backlash after a strange encounter at Joanna Gaines’ Hotel 1928 in Waco, Texas, where a fan claims Lively followed her to her car, allegedly recording her license plate after being spotted in the hotel lobby.
“She was acting super paranoid,” said hotel guest Kaitlyn Cooper, who told the Daily Mail she was stunned when Lively allegedly approached her outside, phone in hand, after being casually filmed the night before.
“She didn’t just notice us,” Cooper claimed. “She circled the car. It was really weird.”
Lively, who was in town visiting Gaines and promoting her new film Another Simple Favor, reportedly blamed the hotel staff for not shielding her identity — despite staying at a public luxury hotel where her presence was hardly a secret.
“There was no red carpet, no closed-off floor,” said one staffer. “She walked through the lobby just like everyone else. If she wanted privacy, she sure didn’t act like it.”
Sources now say Lively has turned her frustration toward Joanna Gaines, claiming the Magnolia mogul’s hotel “dropped the ball” on VIP protocol.
“She’s acting like it’s Buckingham Palace,” one local snarked. “It’s Waco. Relax.”
Lively’s reps have not commented, but those close to the hotel are calling the actress’s behavior “dramatic” and “completely over the top.”
“She made a scene when she was the one being loud and drawing attention,” said one insider. “She’s not as low-key as she wants people to think.”
While Lively is known for fiercely guarding her private life, critics say this time she crossed the line — by allegedly turning the tables on a fan and escalating what many say was an innocent moment.
“It’s ironic,” a PR insider quipped. “She hates being filmed — but had no problem allegedly filming someone else when she didn’t like it. That’s not privacy, that’s control.”
