Meghan Markle’s long-awaited return to Britain could come with an unexpected welcome: overflowing garbage bins.

Sources tell Naughty But Nice that Prince Harry is eager to bring Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet to Birmingham next month as he promotes the 2027 Invictus Games. But the city’s ongoing bin strike has left streets piled high with trash, sparking complaints from residents and creating an embarrassing backdrop for a high-profile royal visit.

“This is a nightmare scenario for Harry,” an insider tells me. “He wants Meghan to reconnect with the UK, not arrive to headlines about garbage, bad smells, and a city under pressure.”

The timing could hardly be worse. Birmingham is grappling with financial challenges, public frustration is mounting, and local leaders are facing criticism over the city’s appearance.

“The trash has become a symbol of everything people are angry about,” says a local source. “Residents are fed up, businesses are complaining, and visitors can’t help but notice.”

Behind the scenes, organizers are working overtime to keep the focus on Invictus and the veterans the Games support.
