EXCLUSIVE: BARRON TRUMP'S ELOCUTION LESSONS TO LOSE HIS SLAVIC ACCENT
SOURCES SAY HE’S WORKING TO SOUND MORE AMERICAN
Barron Trump, 18, has been quietly refining his speech with elocution lessons, sources tell me — determined to smooth out the Slovenian‑tinged accent he once spoke with and sound more like his American peers.
“Barron is very focused on how he presents himself now,” a source close to the family told me. “He’s thoughtful, deliberate, and wants to be confident when he speaks, but he does it quietly, without drawing attention.”
Another insider added, “He stays away from the spotlight whenever possible. He’s very aware of his privacy, and his mother makes sure it stays that way. Melania is fiercely protective of him.”
A family friend explained, “Barron was raised primarily by his mother and his grandparents. Even as he grows older, Melania watches over him closely. She wants him to have a normal life — free from cameras and public pressure — while still giving him the tools he needs to succeed.”
“She’s always been hands-on, making sure he’s safe and grounded,” the source said. “That means guidance, protection, and helping him navigate the world on his own terms, alongside the grandparents who were there from day one.”
Barron’s current focus on speech and presentation is part of a broader effort to define himself independently, separate from the intense public focus on his parents and the childhood clips that once went viral.
Old footage of Barron at age four shows him speaking with a noticeable Slovenian accent, much like his mother Melania’s. In one viral clip from Larry King Live, young Barron asks, “I like my suitcase,” in a thick accent before being corrected about school plans — a reminder of his European roots and early years spent primarily with his mother and grandparents.
Remember — if you’re going to be naughty, you’ve got to be nice.

That’s great. The right thing to do. He will most likely be President one day.
