EXCLUSIVE: ANDY COHEN'S CNN DAYS ARE NUMBERED UNDER NEW OWNERS
Hello, hello, hello...
Andy Cohen’s future at CNN is quickly becoming one of television’s hottest behind-the-scenes conversations.
Sources tell Naughty But Nice that insiders increasingly believe Cohen could be among the first high-profile casualties once the network’s ownership changes.
“People inside the business are already talking as though Andy’s time at CNN is winding down,” one well-placed media source tells Naughty But Nice. “Major ownership shake-ups almost always come with major talent shake-ups. Andy is a liberal New Yorker who has never hidden his disdain for Donald Trump. Many insiders don’t see him fitting into the next chapter.”
Cohen has never been one to stay quiet. His recent criticism of CBS following the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was classic Andy—outspoken, unapologetic, and guaranteed to make headlines.
“Andy’s authenticity is his brand,” another insider says. “He’s funny, fearless, and says exactly what’s on his mind. That’s made him enormously successful, but it’s not necessarily the profile the new ownership is expected to embrace.”
For years, Cohen and Anderson Cooper’s New Year’s Eve special has been one of CNN’s biggest entertainment hits, delivering strong ratings, viral moments, and must-watch television. But industry veterans say even proven winners aren’t immune when a new regime takes charge.

“Television history is filled with stars who looked untouchable until new management arrived,” a longtime media observer tells Naughty But Nice. “Every new owner wants to put their own stamp on a network, and that often starts with the talent.”
CNN has not announced any changes to Cohen’s role, and Cohen has not yet commented publicly on the speculation.
