EXCLUSIVE: A-LIST CELEBRITY WHO WAS ‘CRUEL’ TO KELLY CLARKSON REVEALED
Kelly opens up about being “hated” by industry stars after her American Idol win
Kelly Clarkson is finally pulling back the curtain on the not-so-glamorous side of her early fame — and now we know who delivered the frostiest reception.
“It was Christina,” insiders confirm to Rob Shuter’s Substack. “She was openly dismissive of Kelly from day one — she didn’t think a reality show winner belonged in the big leagues.”
Clarkson, now 42 and firmly planted in icon territory, didn’t name names during her recent sit-down on the Not Gonna Lie podcast with Kylie Kelce — but she may as well have gift-wrapped the clue.
“People were really mean. People that were really mean have been coaches,” she said with a pointed smile. “They hated talent shows — and they ended up being on The Voice.”
Cue the pop culture math:
Coach + shade + The Voice = Christina Aguilera.
Xtina joined The Voice in 2011 and, according to longtime insiders, was never exactly handing out warm welcomes backstage when it came to Clarkson.
“Christina saw Kelly as a manufactured pop act — someone who hadn’t paid her dues,” one music industry source tells Shuter. “It was classic diva behavior.”
To her credit, Kelly’s never clapped back publicly, instead choosing to build her brand on kindness, humor, and actual talent.
“She remembers exactly how it felt to be the new girl no one wanted at the lunch table,” a close friend says. “Now that she’s in the mentor seat, she’s making sure no one else feels that small.”
And that, friends, is what we call a full-circle queen moment.

Interestingly Christina threw nasty shade at GaGa too in the beginning of GaGa’s career, even making a disparaging comment about not knowing if GaGa was really a man or woman.
This behavior reeks of insecurity.
