The pop superstar, 35, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also 35, confirmed their engagement Tuesday with a joint Instagram post showing Kelce down on one knee in a romantic garden proposal. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” they captioned the photos.

Swift, beaming, flashed her custom engagement ring — an old mine brilliant-cut diamond in a gold bezel setting, designed by Kelce himself with jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. The couple wore coordinating Polo Ralph Lauren looks for the milestone moment, with Taylor in a chic dress and Travis in a cableknit sweater.

The engagement comes two years after the singer and athlete began dating in the summer of 2023, following Kelce’s now-famous failed attempt to slip Swift his number at an Eras Tour show. Despite the rocky start, the two became inseparable, sparking endless speculation about when he’d pop the question.

Kelce asked Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, for his blessing back in 2023. “Scott has wholeheartedly given it,” a source said.

Rumors of an engagement have followed the couple for months, with eagle-eyed fans spotting Taylor hiding her hands in photos and covering up with gloves during NFL games. Even NFL insider Adam Schefter once teased on-air that a proposal was imminent.

Now, the speculation is over. Swift — whose 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl drops Oct. 3 — is officially off the market.
